So I went on a bit of a bender the last 2 weeks. I was eating everything in sight. After a week on the "lose 2lbs per week" plan I was STARVING. Now having said that, it can be done, as I have successfully accomplished this diet in the past, but at the time I had a larger grocery budget.
As I'm on a lower food budget at the moment, what are the cheapest things at the grocery store?? Boxed foods and Carbs. It is impossible to stay on a diet plan when all you're able to eat is crap food (I try to get as many fruits and veggies as possible but it's not helping).
As of this morning, my current weight is 188 lbs. I'm not even going to take measurements, because I'm sure I'm back at my starting weight or higher. Also, because the template I use to record them is on my now broken laptop and I need to create a new one on this computer for next week.
So here's the deal.... Instead of being on a lose 2lbs per week program (which allows me to eat about 1300 calories per day) I will go on the lose 1lb per week program (which allows 1850). If I start tomorrow morning, I will reach my goal weight by July 12, 2015 instead of my original goal of February 1, 2015. I think this will be a much more attainable goal, and with the weight coming off more slowly, it will be more likely to stay off once I lose it.
Once I'm back into the swing of things diet-wise, I may increase the plan to 1.5 lbs per week, or even back up to the 2lbs per week, but for right now, I think 1lb per week is where it's at for long-term sustainable weight loss.
Hopefully in a few weeks I will be able to post some new and improved bikini shots. For now, I will just get back in the saddle and see what I can do with my newfound calorie budget.
